I recently returned from leading my tenth and last natural history tour to the north of Cyprus. My mobility and manual dexterity are such that I risk becoming a liability to groups as well as to myself.
This attractive black and white crab spider was found at Aphendrika in the north of the island on 10 April 2018. I would be very greatful if anyone is able to suggest an identification if possible from these images.
Many thanks

Very many thanks. I had thought it was likely to be Synema but lacked confidence in this. I have previously seen specimens of this genus in yellow and black and red and black. In fact it is an image of mine that appears in Wildlife of Cyprus (edited by David Sparrow and Eddie John). Robert Bosmans, the auther of the chapter on spiders in that book writes in the text "The genus Synema is vey common in Cyprus, probably with more than one species, but until now not yet recognised".
