Follow some Heteroptera photos from first half of September 2009

The first one is a unidentified Pentatomidae
The host is Eryngium glomeratum (Umbelliferae)
A few specimens was found on the same plant

The next photos r typical to the season
while there is almost no good sources for food even the predators become "vegi"

A Sphedanolestes annulatus take the opportunity and drink nectar from Urginea maritima.

The Stenozygum coloratum, a typical for Capparis spinosa in this region move to any food sources in the vicinity.
On the Urginea maritima they steal nectar and sack fluids from the developing fruits.

Here an interesting photos of feeding on eggs of Acrosternum cf millierei.
The host plant is Datura
Location: coastal sands south of Tel-Aviv.
