There are some observations concerning the different shape of male genitalia of different species of Chrysoperla (external genitalia of female are absolutely the same...), but I don't think so... there are a complex of characters (morphological, ecological, ethological) that could bring you to choose the species inside genus Chrysoperla. Up to now it seem that the only clear character is the sound produced during the pre-mating time (unfortunately this sound could be only checked with sofisticated devices....).
I knew that there were some cases where the song is important to know the species... but this is new for me .:) Thank you! Ah, Agostino I saw my first Coniopterygidae. :D But it escaped. :(
